Because of Mr. Lamothe’s national prominence as a trial lawyer he was interviewed for a program by NBC News Monitor entitled “Danger on the Rigs” which aired on July 16, 1983. One of Mr. Lamothe’s cases was highlighted in the program.
Even his opponents have good things to say about him. One defense attorney described Mr. Lamothe as, “…a hard fighting opponent but a gentleman nevertheless.”
Mr. Lamothe has obtained numerous multi-million dollar verdicts and settlements for his clients. Mr. Lamothe is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum which requires a settlement or verdict over one million dollars for membership.
In the past three years Mr. Lamothe has handled over 75 sex abuse cases and recovered millions of dollars for his clients.
He is currently representing numerous businesses and individuals who have suffered losses in the BP Oil Spill. He is serving on the economic loss task force in the federal court litigation filed in the matter.
Mr. Lamothe has taught Trial Advocacy at Tulane University School of Law, the Paul F. Hebert School of Law at Louisiana State University and
the School of Law at Loyola University in New Orleans. He is a respected speaker and author who has lectured extensively and written many articles relating to personal injury and death litigation and business litigation.
Frank Lamothe is a fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, an invitation-only honor offered only after extensive peer review; he is also one of the select attorneys to earn the distinction of a listing in all editions of “The Best Lawyers of America,” in the area of personal injury litigation, an accolade that truly describes Mr. Lamothe and his abilities.

Mr. Lamothe

While Mr. Lamothe is honored by such distinctions, he is most proud of being the dedicated father of three children. Outside of the home, he enjoys spending his leisure time riding motorcycles, including participating in motorcycle racing events.
